CoCoTek Coir Growing Media - General Hydroponics
CoCoTek Coir compressed growing media from General Hydroponics is available in an ambitious abundance. There were some big plans ten years ago.
Most of the coir was put in food grade 50 gallon barrels to expand for use. The remaining coir bricks survived as solid chunks, the plastics packages became brittle. What you see in the photo are the bricks shrink-wrapped, and one of two (I think there are two) barrels of coir. You can purchase the packages, or the barrels, but you have to keep the barrels. That’s the deal. The barrels are nice inside because they were food grade, but time has done what it always does to steel - that is not rust on the lid - it is simply dirty.
Each brick makes up to 18 gallons of ready-to-use soil-less media
