MBU V3 Burner Cookstove
US Army Modern Burner Unit Version 3 (MBU V3) designed for use with M59A field range. An early version of these portable burners were designed for military field kitchens. These stoves run on 28 volt DC power and/or diesel. Running something like this would be an inexpensive way to heat up your boiler quickly. The 28V DC power converters are rare, as are parts (filters and such). These were produced by a Canadian company, Teleflex between 2001 and 2012. The unit has an internal fuel tank and fuel pump which can be filled from a jerry can. The units can be powered up in series. Heat is adjustable. Max output about 52,000 BTUs. Grates.
Check out the video - this guy boiled 10 liters of water in 10 minutes, using 1 amp hour out of a battery pack. Not for the faint of heart. YouTube link here.
